Apache Mall - Rochester

Apache Mall has hosted us several times. They provide many opportunities for our dogs: crowds, people in costume, food smells, children noises, different flooring, wide open spaces, various shoe noises, people with facial hair or glasses, etc. We typically train there from October - January. Due to their tile floors and many outside exits they are a great place for our puppies under 6 months old to train for short durations.

Applebee's

We've had wonderful service at Applebee's in Bloomington and Rochester. Sometimes when we meet it can take hours. The great staff at Applebee's do not rush us nor do they mind that we're there for three hours. We knew it was going to be great from the beginning: they offered our dogs water before they ever asked us if we wanted anything. It is a great place to teach the dogs to stay under the table, invisible, and out of the way AND enjoy a great meal.

A very special "Thank You!" to By The Yard for their generous financial contribution. This is a company that really gives back to their community. Not only do they have the best maintenance free outdoor furniture but it's all made out of recycled milk jugs! It's beautiful!!

The city of Rochester has been a great training place for our dogs. With their miles of skyways and underground walking subways they have provided experiences many of our dogs would never have. It's an odd place for a dog to be above traffic, inside, while the cars are zooming below. There are many handicap buttons that our dogs can learn, many types of flooring although most is tile, and there are miles of indoor walking which is great in the winter.

- A special "Thank You !" to Renee' Hamilton and Dave Curry for their continued support in our organization. They have offered their facilities for when we need a training building, they have been a resource for training questions, and they have helped us cut costs at events so we can continue to educate the public about the benefits of service dogs. They have also provided us with some wonderful referrals.

Country Kitchen - Cannon Falls

Country Kitchen in Cannon Falls has been so nice to us. Many times we meet there because it is between Rochester and the Cities so it's a central place for all the trainers/board members. The employees have told us they love telling customer's that we train our dogs there. Well we love going there. Their food and customer service is bar none. The location is just a bonus!

The Galleria Centerplace - Rochester

This mall is located downtown Rochester. It is a great place after hours when the lunch crowds are gone. It provides see-through railings from the second, third, and fourth floors for height training. It also has elevators, handicap doors, tile flooring, and many shops. It's a large place to go that can be quieter than Apache Mall and it's connects to Rochester's skyway/subway system.

Rochester - Part of our training involves exposing the dogs to many different floor coverings. Hiller's was very friendly to our trainers. They asked if we needed any help. They said they have great flooring and great cleaners if there were to be an accident. They were very nice and wonderful to work with. Thank you Hiller's!! Oh, and there were no accidents. :)

Home Depot of Rochester and Bloomington - They were so nice to us during a training session. They offered to operate the fork lift, they yelled "CLEAR!" down the isle, and operated two different saws for the dogs. They let our dogs open and close the kitchen cabinets/drawers and retrieve a variety of items. The staff at Home Depot was wonderful! Thank you!

- Imaging Path has been very generous with printing our brochures and helping us design them. They are very innovative and they've passed on their ideas in other areas too to help us with our fundraising efforts. Thank you!!

J&K Embroidery - J&K has been our embroiderer of choice for t-shirts, sweatshirts, and our banner. Wonderful company to work with and very skilled at what they do. They have helped design and produce many of our products that we offer for sale. They also embroider the dogs coats for us. They are a great company to work with.

Lifetouch in Bloomington has been a huge asset to our program. Not only have they provided beautiful photo's of our clients with their new service dogs but they have been so wonderful to work with. Their staff is very caring and respectful of our clients and dogs. Many of our clients have never had their photo taken while being in a wheelchair or being without one. They have provided for our clients a beautiful keepsake of their new life with an American Assistance Dog and we are so proud to give these photo's to them.

We LOVE Majors! We've had several board meetings at the Inver Grove Heights restaurant and they are wonderful! They always have plenty of room for us that is out of the way. They know how long our meetings can take but we always order dessert! They've even made dishes for us that are not on the menu. Their food and service are excellent!!

Midwest Animal Rescue Services (MARS) is wonderful! They have been a great referral for our program providing us with very sound dogs. It does our heart proud to give a job to a dog that might otherwise be put down due to overcrowding in other shelters. MARS has been a great bridge from the dogs to us - giving the dogs a whole new life!

Located in Inver Grove Heights, Snowshoe Goldens have the most beautiful Golden Retrievers. The titles these dogs have won are endless - they include several Best of Breed and Best in Show. Sue and Steve Schnarr truly have some of the best Goldens in Northern America. They have graciously donated some of their champion bloodline puppies for us to train as service dogs. THANK YOU SUE AND STEVE!! The recipients of these service dogs will definitely have reason to be proud.

Spencer Gifts in Rochester is wonderful to our dogs. They are a great place to train during the Halloween season because of their fantastic supply of scary gifts. Their staff even demonstrate some of their merchandise for us like the 1/2 dead man that drags himself across the floor or the life-size talking Dracula that moves when the dogs get near. It's definitely a fun place to go.
